By damaging DNA and causing cell death, Treanda® (bendamustine) can help treat certain types of cancer. Specifically, this prescription medicine is used to treat:
- Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) in people who have been newly diagnosed with this cancer
- Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma when certain other treatments have failed.
This medicine can cause significant side effects, so make sure to contact your healthcare provider right away if you develop any signs of an infection or other serious problems. Treanda comes as an injection that is given slowly into a vein (intravenous, or IV, infusion).
