Leukemia and Treanda

Adults who have been diagnosed with certain types of lymphoma or leukemia may receive Treanda® (bendamustine) as part of their chemotherapy treatment. This prescription drug is specifically approved to treat:
 
 
Treanda works by interfering with DNA replication, which is a process necessary for cells to copy themselves and divide. Because of this interference, the cancer cells die.
 
The medication is given as an intravenous (IV) injection by a healthcare provider. It is not approved for use in children.
