Sprycel and Nexium Interaction

It is typically recommended that people should not receive Nexium® (esomeprazole) during treatment with Sprycel® (dasatinib). As a type of proton pump inhibitor, Nexium can reduce the amount of Sprycel absorbed from the stomach into the bloodstream, possibly making it less effective.

Before beginning treatment with Sprycel, make sure your healthcare provider has a list of all other medications, vitamins, and supplements you are taking to help reduce your risk for drug interactions.
