Rituxan® (rituximab) is a drug licensed to treat rheumatoid arthritis, non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, and chronic lymphocytic leukemia. It has also been approved to treat Wegener's granulomatosis (WG) and microscopic polyangiitis (MPA). This product is administered intravenously by your healthcare provider. It works by binding to specific cells in the body and destroying them. As with any drug, side effects are possible with Rituxan, including fever, chills, and infections.
