Marqibo Overdose

Treatment Options for a Marqibo Overdose

If an overdose is discovered while the medication is being given, the dose will be stopped. There is no antidote for a Marqibo overdose.

Treatment will also involve supportive care, which consists of treating the symptoms that occur as a result of the overdose. Supportive care for a Marqibo overdose may include:

  • Medications to treat constipation
  • Close monitoring of blood cell counts
  • Intravenous fluids to manage dehydration
  • A granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) medication, such as filgrastim (Neupogen®), to stimulate the bone marrow to make more white blood cells
  • A blood transfusion to replace blood cells
  • Benzodiazepines, such as diazepam rectal gel (Diastat®), to treat seizures.

Seek immediate medical attention if you believe you or someone else may have overdosed on this medication.
