Taking echinacea, clozapine, or certain biologic drugs during Mustargen treatment may cause interactions that increase your risk for side effects or decrease the effectiveness of the chemotherapy drug. Potential problems should be discussed with your healthcare provider before starting Mustargen treatment. He or she may need to monitor you more closely or may recommend different medications.

An Overview of Interactions With Mustargen

Mustargen® (mechlorethamine) may interact with a few other medications. Some of the drugs that may react with Mustargen include but are not limited to:
  • Amphotericin B (Abelcet®, AmBisome®, Amphotec®)
  • Certain biologic and immunologic medications, such as:
