Leukimia

Were you looking for information about Leukemia? Leukimia is a common misspelling of leukemia.

Leukemia is a disease that develops in blood-forming tissue. In people with this form of cancer, the bone marrow produces abnormal white blood cells (leukemia cells) that crowd out normal white blood cells, red blood cells, and platelets over time. This can cause symptoms such as easy bleeding and bruising, frequent infections, and weight loss. Treatment for the cancer will vary, depending on the type of leukemia, and may include radiation therapy, chemotherapy, and surgery.
