Serious Side Effects

Some side effects of Bosulif are potentially serious and should be reported immediately to your healthcare provider. These include but are not limited to:
 
  • Signs of an allergic reaction, such as:
    • An unexplained rash
    • Hives
    • Itching
    • Unexplained swelling, especially of the mouth, lips, or throat
    • Wheezing
    • Difficulty breathing or swallowing
 
  • Signs of infection, such as:
 
  • Signs of anemia, such as:
    • Weakness
    • Unusual fatigue
    • Pale skin
    • Shortness of breath
    • Dizziness
 
  • Any unusual bleeding or bruising
  • Black, tarry, or bloody stools
  • Blood in the urine, which could appear as pink or red-colored urine
  • Shortness of breath or a new or worsening cough
  • Signs of liver problems, such as:
    • Yellowing of the skin or whites of the eyes (jaundice)
    • Dark urine
    • Upper-right abdominal (stomach) pain
 
  • Swelling of the arms, hands, legs, ankles, feet, or other body areas
  • Unexplained weight gain
  • Severe or persistent diarrhea, nausea, or vomiting
  • Abdominal (stomach) pain
  • Chest pain
  • Loss of appetite
  • Headache, dizziness, or back or joint pain.
 

Final Thoughts

You may experience some or none of the side effects listed in this article. Unfortunately, there is no way for your healthcare provider to know beforehand if you will have problems with a medicine that you have never tried.
