Arzerra Drug Interactions
Arzerra Drug Interactions ExplainedThe following sections explain in detail the potentially negative reactions that can occur when Arzerra is combined with any of the drugs listed above.
Combining Arzerra with amphotericin B could increase your risk for amphotericin B side effects, such as kidney damage, low blood pressure (hypotension), and breathing problems due to constriction of the muscles around the airways (bronchospasm). Your healthcare provider may monitor you more closely for these problems if you use amphotericin B with Arzerra.
Arzerra may decrease the amount of digoxin absorbed into the body, which could make digoxin less effective. Your healthcare provider may choose to monitor you more closely if you use these medicines together, and adjust your digoxin dose if necessary.
Biologic and Immunologic Medications
Combining Arzerra with other medications that alter the action of the immune system may increase the risk for side effects, including potentially serious infections. Talk to your healthcare provider about this interaction before using Arzerra with another biologic or immunologic medication.
Echinacea can make Arzerra less effective. Talk to your healthcare provider before taking echinacea during Arzerra treatment.
Live vaccines are vaccines that contain live viruses or bacteria. If you receive a live vaccine while using Arzerra, you might become infected with the virus or bacteria from the vaccine. Also, live vaccines may be less effective in people using Arzerra. Talk to your healthcare provider before receiving a vaccination or immunization while using this medication.
